Nice Killer Ships
Hey uncle Den like your cool killerships. I bet
you that your 64-Gune British ship could sink
any ship that it faced. Your ships are the best!
I don't know anyone else that has ships that
good! Your ships are PERFECT! Also all your
ships are B E A UTIFUL! I love them! Make more.
Good luck with your other ships!

Amazing
Your work is absolutely amazing. Such detail on
all the ships. Do you have pictures to go by or
do you plan it all out in your head then do it?
Either way, it is beautiful workmanship.

Spanische Schebecke
Love your work, as I first saw it on SSW forum. I
would like to take a stab at just the bow of a
boat I can hang on the wall like a cabinet. The
big ships like your man of war are way to ornate
in the front for what I want. I'm thinking of a
shebecke, I want the bow to arch back as it goes
down into the water and not too ornate of a
bowsprit. This is because I want it to be a wine
cabinet with a mermaid intarsia mounted as a
figurehead which is also a skinny door. Be cool
to have a porthole globe like door on either side
that a wine bottle would fit into. So I'm
thinking of upsizing a model to be about 4' tall
and god knows how much it will stick out at that
size, but it's sure to be crazy impressive. I
found a plan for a shebecke but the picture is
just from the plan, not a finished picture, so I
don't really know what that ship would look like
for real. Any idea's where I can find a ship that
looks like that, and do you think it's the right
ship for my needs? I do want planked sides and a
bowsprit, but not too crazy to draw attention away
from the primary goal. I'd like to carve out some
waves for this baby too, have her breaking water,
mermaid arms outstretched in all her glory as the
ship is crashing right through the house. A few
ropes, possibly an anchor. I'm sure you can sort
of imagine what I'm looking to create, but what's
the perfect boat, and what type of wood is best to
use?
